The Red Poppies

The words ‘Red Poppies’ to me means Soldiers so whenever I hear the word ‘Poppies’ I remember the Soldiers that fought for the war and died. The red symbol stands for blood spilled in the war. The Red Poppies mean Death.

Ode:

They shall not grow old,

We that are left grow old,

age shall not weary them not on the hearts condemn,

on the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.

Lest We Forget

Poem:

They went to the battle,

They were young,

Straight of limb,

True of eyes,

Steady and aglow.

They were staunch tot he end against odds uncounted,

They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall not grow old,

We that are left grow old,

Age shall not weary them,

Nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.

WE WILL REMEMBER THE SOLDIERS THAT FOUGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY!!!
